The above spices are all suggestions, use what you have and what your family enjoys. The cooking police won't show up at your door if you change the recipe a little. Keep in mind that cooking ingredients are meant to go together and whenever you change the recipe, it changes the final product.

Pat chicken breasts dry. Coat chicken breasts lightly with oil. Couple dry ingredients for rub. Coat all sides of the chicken breast; the more you use, the spicier and hotter it will be. Heat the barbecue or use a heavy skillet. Brush the grill or heavy skillet with 2 tablespoons oil. Remember, if there is a big puddle of oil in the heavy skillet, it will fry the chicken breast instead of grilling, so be particular to wipe out the excess oil, you can add more when you flip it over if necessary.

Place chicken on grill or skillet, skin side up. Cook over medium heat, about 8 to 10 minutes per side, until the breasts are cooked through. (If heat is too high, coating will burn; if too low, cooking time will be a minuscule longer).
